About Inswest & Our Services

Financial planning is personal. Inswest brings knowledge, experience, and compassion together to help clients navigate important decisions with greater clarity and confidence.

About Inswest Financial Group

Inswest Financial Group Ltd. provides financial planning guidance using insurance and investment solutions to help clients work toward their individual financial goals. Led by Tim Ramsay, Senior Manager, CFP, CLU, Ch.F.C., CPCA, EPC, the approach focuses on understanding what each person is trying to accomplish, explaining the options available, and building a strategy around their circumstances.

A key focus is helping seniors and retirees better understand the choices available for their accumulated savings, retirement income, tax-conscious planning, beneficiary considerations, and the next stages of retirement. Inswest also supports business owners and families with broader financial planning needs.

Beyond client planning, Tim is focused on mentoring licensed financial professionals who want to develop their knowledge, strengthen their businesses, and learn from more than four decades of industry experience.

From Tim

The Person Behind Inswest

Inswest Financial Group Ltd. is built around a straightforward idea: financial guidance should begin with understanding the person, not simply the numbers. After more than 43 years in the financial industry, Tim Ramsay sees experience as something to put to work.

Rather than simply stepping away from the industry, his focus is on using what he has learned to help seniors, families, business owners, and licensed financial professionals make more informed decisions about what comes next. For clients, that means helping make financial options easier to understand and looking beyond a single product or decision. For licensed professionals, it means sharing decades of practical experience through education, support, and mentorship.

"Why should I just retire if I can benefit other people with my experience?"

Mission, Vision & Core Values

MISSION

To help individuals, families, and business owners protect what they have built, grow their legacy, minimize taxes through appropriate planning strategies, and make informed financial decisions for the future.

Planning strategies are explored together and tailored to each client's circumstances. No specific tax savings or financial outcomes are guaranteed.

VISION

To be a trusted source of financial guidance where clients feel informed, understood, and supported through every stage of their financial journey.

Guiding Every Conversation
CORE VALUES
01

Knowledge

Clear financial information helps clients better understand their choices and make more informed decisions.

02

Experience

Applying practical financial insight to help clients navigate their goals, priorities, and changing circumstances.

03

Compassion

Financial decisions affect real people and families. Every conversation should begin with listening, understanding, and respect.

More Than Numbers
OUR PROMISE

We Start by Understanding What Matters to You, Then Help Make the Financial Conversation Clearer.

Inswest brings knowledge, experience, and compassion to financial conversations so clients can better understand their options and make informed decisions based on their individual priorities.

WHAT THAT PROMISE MEANS

WE LISTEN.

Your priorities come before the strategy. We start by understanding your questions, circumstances, goals, and concerns.

WE EXPLAIN.

Financial information should be understandable. We help make complex topics clearer so you can participate meaningfully in conversations about your financial future.

WE PERSONALIZE.

One approach does not fit everyone. We keep the conversation connected to your circumstances and priorities rather than relying on generic recommendations.

WE THINK LONG TERM.

Today's decision can be part of a bigger picture. We consider how financial conversations may connect with retirement, business, family, protection, taxes, and legacy.

Financial guidance should fit the person, not the other way around.
